Scholarship Deadlines

John Panamarioff Sr., Scholarship (graduate and undergraduate) students must submit an application for each school year.

For semesters, applications must be received by:

March 1 (summer)
July 1 (fall)
September 1 (winter)
November 1 (spring)

For vocational and career enhancement: applications must be received 7 days before classes begin. Ouzinkie Native Corporation does not provide reimbursements or retroactive funding.

For Youth (preschool through high school) Scholarships:

Students may apply as many times as desired as long as he or she does not receive more than $500 total per calendar year.

For the Napneq Scholarship :

Funding is limited to $1,000 per calendar year, available to Ouzinkie Native Corporation Shareholders and registered descendants to attend cultural, trainings, camps, or events. Examples of the types of cultural trainings, or camps that qualify for funding include culture camps, beading, mask carving, and Alutiiq language classes. Your application must be submitted within 14 days of the class start date.

Shareholders: Scholarships

Ouzinkie Native Corporation (ONC) provides seven types of scholarships to its shareholders and registered descendants: Undergraduate, Graduate, Career Enhancement, Vocational, Youth, Napneq (cultural), and Elders and Youth. In 2024, the ONC Board of Directors approved $289,654 in financial assistance to shareholders and their descendants to support our people in pursuing higher education, vocational and career enhancement training, and youth and cultural development.

Ouzinkie Native Corporation John Panamarioff Sr. Scholarship Program

It is the policy of Ouzinkie Native Corporation (ONC) to provide financial assistance to shareholders and shareholder descendants pursuing higher education or vocational training.

The John Panamarioff, Sr. Scholarship Program was established by the corporation to assist eligible recipients in their quest to further their education at nationally or regionally accredited Institutions. Further, this program was established to provide financial assistance in a fair and consistent manner to eligible recipients.

Application Deadlines
